Stress Neurobiology Postdoctoral Positions
Join our stress neurobiology laboratory and help us to elucidate the mechanisms by which stress leads to psychiatric and medical disorders including depression, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, and Alzheimer’s disease. We are particularly interested in
- cellular and molecular bases for sex differences in vulnerability to stress related disorders,
- the developmental determinants of stress consequences and
- the role of coping styles in determining the impact of stress.
Our approaches span from molecular to whole animal behavioral levels. For this position we are particularly interested in someone who will do neuronal recordings in unanesthetized rats undergoing stress and/or performing cognitive tasks.
The ideal individual would have a Ph.D in Neuroscience, Psychology, Bioengineering or a related field.
