II Workshop “Interplay between Parental Care and Sexual Selection”

Dear colleagues,

From July 5th to 9th, 2020, we will host the II Workshop “Interplay between Parental Care and Sexual Selection” that will take place at “Hotel Fazenda Fonte Colina Verde”, São Pedro, state of São Paulo, Brazil.

The main goal of the event will be to provide a relaxed environment where researchers with diverse backgrounds, at different career stages and using different approaches (from theoretical models to empirical studies on a wide variety of taxa) can exchange ideas, discuss recent developments in the field, and propose directions for future projects. As plenary speakers, we invited prominent international researchers, responsible for major theoretical and empirical contributions about the theme of the event.

As with the first edition of the event, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, no registration fee will be charged from participants. Thus, we expect to make the event as affordable as possible and to promote a greater participation of graduate students. Participants will pay only for accommodation, which includes breakfast and two daily meals. Additionally, due to the ease of access, either by land or by air, to the city of São Paulo, the workshop is expected to receive a large number of participants from Latin American countries where behavioral ecology research is well developed.

For more information about the event, see the website or send an email to one of the organizers.
